I checked in here because all hotels in Bradford were fully booked. There was a cycling event that weekend. To make matters worse I'd paid four times the usual price due to demand. It was an absolute disaster! As if the room wasn't dingy enough, it rained that night and I had to collect water in a jar from the leaky roof! When I brought it up to the manager in the morning he said "that happens quite often when it rains". No remorse whatsoever.

This has to be the worst place we have ever stayed, had 2 rooms booked, 1 was fine apart from flies but it is summer so these things happen. Room 2 however, my daughter was staying in it with her friend while attending the Leeds Festival. They first of all found a dirty needle stuffed down the side of the toilet, alerted the guy at the bar who then told the manager who came to remove, I had a discussion with how about why it was there and all he kept saying was he didn't know, I said well why haven't your cleaners seen it they can't be very good. He was adament he had the best cleaners around obviously not, he came back to say that it wasn't a needle apparently it was for inserting liquid into your eye, which it clearly wasn't. He tried to justify the situation but only made it worse by saying the likes of I hope this hasn't ruined your weekend? Dunno if he was having some sort of laugh. To top it all off not an hour later the girls found a bottle of methadone in one of the drawers and it was half full. Again we approached the owner who had no explanation. I demanded a refund for the Saturday night for both rooms as there was no way we were staying there any longer, he processed the refund for one night but if you were any sort of hotelier you'd be offering a refund for the whole stay. Anyway I didn't have time to stand and argue with him, I just wanted us all out of there. The public areas stank of weed and I think the council use it as a homeless center as I was speaking to one woman who the council had just put her in there. Anyway the guy calls us an hour after we left still apologetic claiming the cleaners had left the doors open that day and there must have been someone that sneaked in toe room to use it for drugs. Avoid at all costs
