The room was clean and well maintained. The pub staff were friendly and the food looked good. We were told about the karaoke beforehand and it sounded like a great night, but it didn't bother us. What was nice about the hotel was that, even though it is only a mile or so outside Bradford, you would think you were in the countryside. Overall, its well worth the money for a budget hotel.

I took a room at Woodslands hotel. First few days went well and the day before I had to vacate the land lady called me and said I’m being fined 40 pounds and remarked if I don’t pay I have to vacate my room immediately (it was around 8pm). Reason I did dining inside the room and left food stain marks on the bed. It is a fact that I ordered the food from outside (food phamplet distributed by the bar lady Sandra and she did not tell me anything about the rule not to dine in the room. In fact she is the one who gave me plate, fork, spoon and knife on my way to the room before o had my dinner). The land lady’s walked into my room and complained I have made food stains on the bed and tried to show the marks (which weren’t there available). She showed me the rule book and then I realised she is drunk that day. After lot of negotiation we settled in for 20 pounds and the receipt was a hand written paper. I took photo of her as an evidence she is drunk. She saw that and took photo of me. The music was on well past mid night and I had a highly embarrassing and unfriendly time. Don’t ever stay in this hotel.

We came here on the 27th Jan 2019 for Sunday lunch, and I must say that it was very good value for money. Unfortunately the kitchen was only doing roasts, but the smoke house menu looked very tempting! At the time of reviewing the Sunday lunch was £5 for 1 meat and veg or £5.99 for 3 meats and veg, and the portions were a really good size too. Thanks very much we will certainly be back!

I booked a single room for Friday and Saturday night. The staff and locals were friendly and the food was perfectly acceptable. The hotel (which is more of a pub than a hotel) was very lively on the Friday night, noisy but not gratuitously so right up until midnight when the bar closed. My room was above the bar which wasn't an issue but might have been had I wished for an early night. On Saturday the event I attended elsewhere in Bradford ended early so I was able to leave for home Saturday evening at 11pm instead of on Sunday morning. Saturday night at the hotel was karaoke night and the noise was much louder, again not an issue for me as I didn't stay the night but it might be an issue for some people. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The shower in the en suite was perfectly adequate. My only negative comment about the en suite is that the plug was missing from the hand basin. If I was to stay in the area again and early night's weren't an issue I'd be happy to stay at the Woodlands Hotel.
