Premier inn used to give remarkable value for money. Lately. They aren’t cheap and some are tired.

Premier inn used to give remarkable value for money. Lately. They aren’t cheap and some are tired. This one is good (for values of good). Nice location. Decent pub / restaurant on site. Stayed in a “premier plus room”. Yeah. And…. Better than a regular room but not special in my opinion. Premier inn is a place to sleep. Not a place to go to, as such, they are losing sight of what made them popular. There are likely better independent places nearby with better value for your cash. Staff were helpful, hotel was good apart from choking cleaning fluid smell in corridors and I will stay there again if I can’t find a non chain place that suits but for “convenience” not for “pleasure”

Great stay, we had the premier plus room which was absolutely lovely one of the best rooms I've stayed in premier hotel. Staff was amazing with any requests that I had. The only one thing I didn't like was the breakfast £7.50 for a continental breakfast, didn't feel like I got enough for what I paid for. But everything else about the hotel spot on.

3/ 5

We have stayed for a couple of nights and found the location to be perfect with York just a 5 minute bus ride and then the North Yorks Moors only half an hour drive The room was clean but the heating didn't work. We were given a portable heater but it only had a minimal effect We would stay again but only because of the location
