First 3 nights of our stay were ok had everything we needed provided by the hotel. The final night of our stay was a Friday and the music from the clubs next door was unbelievably loud. Over all we only wanted somewhere to lay our heads down after a busy day, was perfect for that apart from the weekend.

The hotel itself is fine, a little run-down, but it's a travel lodge right?! It's right in the middle of town, so very convenient. Parking nearby. Noisy at night time from people outside. Oh! and there's a nightclub in the same building, so if you're looking to get your head down bring ear plugs! Edited: the night club went on till 2 in the morning and it's not the noise so much, but the vibration of the bass (so ear plugs don't work). Don't stay here, not unless you like night clubs...

Basic but clean and comfortable, shower was decent, tea and coffee in the room and TV but don’t expect anything else. 30 minutes free wifi, haven’t experienced having to pay for wifi in quite a while. We spoke to two reception staff who were very nice indeed. My daughter and I had the breakfast box but I wish I didn’t bother. Warm juice and milk, can’t be doing with warm milk on our cornflakes! We went across the road and had breakfast in the Glasshouse Cafe which was very nice. My main gripe is the noise from the club below, what the hell is a club doing under a hotel?! How have the local council not got involved with the levels of noise from that place?! We were shattered after a day at Adventure Island but couldn’t sleep because of the music and singing. I dropped off after midnight and it was still going, on a Sunday night!! No frills but nice staff and the location is very good for the seafront and train station but couldn’t stay again just because of the dodgy music and drunk girls thinking they’re on the X Factor!!

Do NOT go to this travelodge! The next morning after staying there, I woke up with 4 bites on my body and they have since progressed into what appears to be bed bugs. This is honestly disgusting and I understand that travelodge is cheap but a basic level of hygiene must be maintained. Furthermore, the bed was very uncomfortable and the room was unbelievably hot and made it extremely difficult to sleep at night. My sink was blocked in the bathroom and overall, I have given my stay there a 1/5 stars.

If I am honest the customer service was great. But the hotel itself was awful so budget and dirty ...it was horrible reminded me of a hospital ward. Bathroom was disgusting. Stayed out all day so we would only sleep and leave in the mornings . Awful hotel would never go back.
