Old atmospheric pub with separate room for families. Excellent pub food, fish and chips very fresh and perfectly cooked. Well kept St Austell beers on hand pump. Particularly delightful and friendly bar staff. Good social distancing. Odd hard close time of 3pm.

They serve Korev lager so it has to be good. We only ate cheesy chips and potted crab and both were nice. The tables near the bar are lovely, but ambience is a bit lacking out the back. Next time we're watching the sunset at the beach we'll have already booked a good table here.

Spent the day at Bentham beach. The single track road out was blocked so decided to walk up to the place for a drink. Found a table in the beer garden. Ordered food. Despite covid restrictions the staff were excellent and the measures set up were smooth and well managed, one way in and out, table service and an attention to cleanliness. On top of that the drinks flowed and the food was gorgeous. Sat out and watched the sun go down. Not a bad place to get stuck for a few hours at all. Thank you

Well organised for covid 19. One of us had the fish pie which was lovely. I had the crevettes which were very good too, however really would have liked a finger bowl as they are messy to consume, so that was the only drawback. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Great outside space with great social spacing for the Coronavirus period. Good quality pub grub. I wouldn't call it a gastro pub. Friendly. Sometimes difficult in the garden to get staff attention!
