Very welcoming staff. Charming old house set in a most attractive area. Sitting rooms were inviting and comfortable Our room had its own furnished outside sitting area with good views of the sea. Lovely comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Two steep staircases and no lift so our room was not suitable for some, but there are others more easily accessible Wonderful food. Although the dinner menu was a little limited, the choice was sufficient and the meals looked inviting and tasted good. Breakfast too was lovely with generous portions. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were particularly scrummy.

What a beautiful place to visit. If you want a place to eat that is steeped in history and produces excellent food, then this is the place for you. We celebrated a friends Birthday there, which was on a Sunday. We all had a roast, which was absolutely gorgeous. Perfectly cooked meat ( beef, pork with crackling, or chicken) together with a Yorkshire pudding and lots and lots of fresh vegetables. All topped off with lovely tasty pan gravy. So go on. What are you waiting for? Treat the family. I guarantee you wont be dissapointed.

Wonderful service, great food and lovely setting. We stayed for 3 nights and for the first time in 40 years ate in the hotel every evening because the food was excellent with a different menu every night. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Great bar and lounge area for relaxing. Just a delight.

Everything about our stay was made perfect by the way the staff looked after us during our five night stay. When our taxi didn’t show to take us to the theatre, it was the owner who took us in her car so we would not miss the show. The restaurant is wonderful with good wines and a menu to delight. All through the week the staff were attentive to our needs, everywhere was clean and the scenery idyllic. We cannot recommend this enough. Thank you.

Set in a quiet position on a steep hill. 10 minutes walk down to beach but hard walk back up. We had room 12 a standard room cost£150 for one night was definitely not worth it. Small room with window glass half frosted over( don't know why). It was clean and comfortable, but could have got bigger room with sea view elsewhere for £60 less. Dinner was good value and very good. They do offer discount if you go again, but I would prefer a fair price on every visit. Room did have a fridge with plastic bottle of water in, shame it wasn't a glass refillable bottle. Shall not be going back, due to price which is disappointing.
