Best described in two words Shabby and Grubby. On the plus side the staff very helpful and the restaurant and food were good but above ground floor the hotel looks to be worn out and our room 307 looked as though it was last decorated in the 90's. The only reason we went ahead with our 2 night stay was that the bed was clean and we could'nt find anywhere else at short notice.

Just had a lovely stay at this 200 year old hotel, it's been decorated with modern colours with the original old features still in place. Our room was comfortable enough for our stay, plenty of drawers & hanging space for clothes. Plenty of hot water & tea/coffee facilities in the room. It has a nice bar area to relax in with comfortable seating but due to Covid the bar menu for eating was limited to the restaurant. We did eat in the restaurant and the food was of a very good standard, was impressed with the dishes as we are twice there. Breakfast was also very good, plenty of choice and was cooked to your taste, however it wasn't a buffet but it was brought to you at the table. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to please you in the hotel and the restaurant. If I was to stay in Exmouth again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The location is great and the views and outdoor seating area are wonderful. My mattress needed changing as you could feel the springs in the mattress. I would use the hotel again.

Just returned from a four night stay at the RBH which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is set in a beautiful old building and yes the hotel needs updating which we understand is going to start fairly soon but we found it spotlessly clean in all areas. The food was good both breakfast and Evening meal. The staff are a credit to this hotel they are all so helpful and work really hard to make your stay memorable thanks RBH.
