Pizza Express york

Staff was extremely friendly making for a lovely experience. The pizza was amazing. We did have to wait a little for one of the pizzas as the first one was burnt (we was informed,) but it wasn't a problem. I would definitely recommend this place

Today's food was lovely could not knock it. Member of staff serving us on the other hand not so great. I know it's all different now but she was quite abrupt when taking our order, then I asked about using my taste card or club individual card and was told no discounts available - which isn't displayed anywhere. So full price it is, that's fine! My son spilt his drink before we got our meal, soaking him, the table and causing a huge puddle on the floor. I wiped up what I could with napkins and when she came to serve our food mentioned the floor was wet and asked for him another juice - nothing was done about it, no juice, no floor cleaned up and no communication from her for the rest of our meal. Another staff member saw the mess before we left and sorted it. I paid online and left. Customer service is just as important as the food in my view!

Very nice food but all but one of the staff members we interacted with were dawdling and not actually intending to serve us. After waiting for a long while we had to specifically ask someone to come and take our order, which took inordinately long and they were clearly not keen, the waitress was unpleasant and didn't even bother checking back, the plates were not cleared while we were there and when we requested our bill, she just started chatting to another member of staff instead, clearly just because she didn't want to bring it to us. Definitely not recommended.

Can't go wrong with pizza express for taste, portion sizes, value for money and offers they have.
