Holiday Inn Express York york

The service was exceptional. The room was just ok pretty small so was the bathroom. Some of the cups in the breakfast area needed to be cleaned better. Good enough of you are a tourist and just need a place to crash. The Toby carvery next door is something to try out

Time for another update as I've just had my third visit to this Holiday Inn and it was another great stay. The rooms are all well sized and well appointed. I would recommend this hotel for budget accommodation around York. Ample free parking is available. Stayed here for 2 nights with work. Decent sized room, Comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I missed was the fact there was no bacon on for breakfast. I would stay here again. My second visit here, for 5 nights this time and I've updated my review to 5 stars. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The breakfast has now been improved and upgraded.... they now include bacon in their free breakfast. Overall, very impressed, so yes, I'd most definitely be back

Lovely staff, a big out of town but fine if you have wheels. Breakfast area a little small and sometimes busy. Toby carvery next to door offer cheap food. Room was reasonable size and sleep quality was good, quiet location. Overall was a pretty good experience, made better by the nice staff..

Had a great stay at this holiday in Express, the staff were lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. The breakfast was lovely with an excellent selection of food available (cooked breakfast, cereals, croissants, toast fruit, muffins and more). The hotel is in a good location and also has a carvery next door. Will be staying here again.

Great staff on front desk very helpful from the moment we walked in. Very clean rooms, breakfast included and coffee machine has the best latte and chocolate ever. It has a carvery on its doorstep, and its a short taxi ride into the center of York if your sightseeing @ £8 charge and no extra ask at reception. Very Good :)

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. Received a warm welcome from Liam, who continued to provide excellent service throughout. The rooms are typical for Holiday Inn Express. The included breakfast was also the standard offering, but seemed better quality than some. Friendly service from the breakfast staff, especially Babs. All staff are friendly and chatty 👍. Even my father, who can be difficult to please, was very impressed - you can't say better than that!

We stayed here for 1 night, the room was quite expensive but it was the weekend before Christmas. The hotel was very clean and the rooms comfortable. The staff, especially the breakfast lady’s are all very chatty and friendly. Very relaxing stay thank you

Absolutely loved our one night, on the spur stay. The staff were ALL friendly and genuinely happy to be at work and made our stay perfect. The room was really clean, nicely decorated and the right temperature. The little extras like being able to get free hot drinks at any time and take breakfast food away in bags provided just added to the experience.

We stayed here after a wedding at a nearby place. The staff member on the counter was really friendly and chatty when we turned up early on the off chance the room was ready early. The check-in process was really easy and the room itself was clean, spacious and the bed comfy. Breakfast was really nice with a selection of continental breakfast items and hot food. Would recommend a stay here.

Rooms nice and clean, mostly dog friendly, but not allowed in dining area, slightly surprised by this as was previously at another Holiday Inn Express in October and it was ok there, so would be nice if the rules were consistent across the HIE chain. Otherwise a faultless stay.
