Incredibly beautiful views. Lovely inside and out. Lots of activities and things to do. Friendly helpful staff. Unbelievably clean. Considering country-wide Covid limitations, they are offering a great deal and giving absolutely as much as they can in order to keep their guests safe. I was impressed and would recommend Bovey Castle as a terrific place to visit or stay.

Stayed 6 nights and didn’t get tired of waking to this view. It’s an beautiful old building, littered with large open fires and big open seating areas, but the rooms are modern and comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and there are plenty of activities to suit all guests. Would recommend for golfers and walkers - as well as couples wanting a weekend away. As you would expect, food and drink is expensive.. but I guess that is part of the course for a 5* hotel. The service was excellent.

It fully lives up to its 5 star classification. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the falconry display was awesome and the location is stunning. Everyone here tries to make your stay just right, we were only here for 2 nights but Paula our waitress was superb, she even remembered our coffee order.

What a great day......... We booked an archery course, followed by a full-blown afternoon tea. Our 11.30am introduction to archery was hosted by John, who was superb, and took us from total novice to actually hitting the target within a few minutes of tuition. By the end of the session we (all four of us) were able to hit targets way beyond our own expectations. A really great experience - Thanks John. We were then treated to a superb selection of delicate sandwiches and pastries which filled all four corners and then some. Complimentary take away boxes appeared at the end of the tea allowing us to pack up all the unfinished goodies to take home with us. Coming from Cornwall, the drive across the moore is very scenic but the carefully manicured grounds of Bovey Castle add a refined elegance to the rugged appeal of Dartmoor. Can't wait to return.

Gorgeous hotel with grand grounds and a stunning Golf course. We played there in December and it looked great. It must be even better when the trees are all in bloom and warmer weather. Absolutely beautiful and we recommend the place.

It was the worst experience in a five star hotel. It took over an hour to have main plate in breakfast and they gave me a wrong one TWICE. The rude waitress never said sorry and her attitude was unacceptable. Even in afternoon tea, we were forced to wait for an hour again to have the meal. The other staff were also impolite and unkind. I believe they don’t deserve five star. I will never come back.

Just stayed at this hotel recently and I have got to say amazing hotel. Sure the price is expensive but it is very worth it. Very nice pool and spa as well as incredible staff and the restaurants are as well top quality. The golf course I myself have not tired but it looks incredible and is a championship course. There are as well some Incredible experiences offered such as deer Park tours and archery and many others. The rooms are very nice here as well while not the absolute best they still fit the 5 star rating with comfortable beds as well. Overall would recommend also incredible for wedding hosting 10/10.
