We chose to stay here overnight on the way to Cornwall and we were not disappointed! We had an excellent and spacious room which was very clean and with great facilities. We booked a table for dinner and the food arrived quickly and was delicious with excellent service! All in all couldn't fault my stay i would definitely come back again!!! 5 star experience.

We had a great stay at The New Inn Mark and Theresa gave us and our well behaved dog a warm welcome The breakfasts and evening meals were very good indeed, clearly using quality produce and cooked very well The pub and bedroom were kept very clean and tidy, which given the age of the building is a real credit to them We would definitely return It was great to see the "Captain" ( the parrot) happily sitting on Marks shoulder for some fresh air We would highly recommend you pay them a visit!

This is a nice little Inn, a bit off the beaten track, make sure you drive in from the Crediton side as the other routes feel like a long ride down the Devon lanes. The owner Mark and all the staff were really friendly, we felt really comfortable all the time we were there. The room was large and comfortable, overall a very relaxing stay.

I ordered a mushroom soup, it was horrible I did touch it after the first taste, and the bread came cold after advertising warm bread. I made them aware, the waiters response was "oh right" then I was charged!!! I would not recommend this place

All I can say is "How fortunate were we to have stayed in this charming place". The welcome and hospitality from Mark, Teresa and The Captain was fantastic. The Evening Meal was Fabulous and the Breakfast Amazing. The only disappointment for me was that I could only stay one night. I had a puppy waiting for me to take home to Norfolk.🤩

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch after searching 'dog-friendly pubs near me'. What a great decision! Friendly service and an amazing roast lunch in a proper old Devon inn.

Homely food made to taste excellent. Peaceful experience inside. Secluded rural location adds uniqueness. Staff gave a warm and smiling welcome to make you feel at home. Service was prompt and flexible. Spent three hours for a mid week meal which was never rushed or pushy. Just what you would want from casual dining out. Menu is slightly smaller than on the website due to post pandemic supply. Prices match the value you get. Nothing over the top. Fully recommend a visit. Four stars only because you wouldn’t believe it, if it was five ;-)

Very good accomodation and food. The vegetables and mushrooms for dinner were excellent and complimented by a full English breakfast. We had the downstairs bedroom. This was very accessible though it had no adaptions.
