Great hotel in lovely position. Fabulous old building, great character. Stayed in room 509. Clean and comfortable. New walk in shower in quite small but adequate bathroom. Great Views from both windows. Staff very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the pier, bars/restaurants a little further. Breakfast plentiful ,help yourself style. Lovely food lots of choice. Could clearly hear the TV from the room next door but didn't need to complain as it was switched off at a reasonable time. Would deffinately stay here again.

I dont write reviews often, and even I take them with a grain of salt. But let me tell you we stayed here one night. So far dinner at the Restaurant has been amazing. The locals need to make reservations here more often, the scenery, the wait staff. Remarkable! Thank you...will follow up after a good night sleep. The room is great so far also.

Dog friendly, nice staff. But the room was too small and so warm inside (summer time). It was just okay... the good thing is the hotel close to everywhere. Just need 10 minutes walk you'll find everything you need supermarket, salon, shopping street, bar, restaurant and the pier.

Great hotel with an amazing sea view. The room we stayed in was at the back of the hotel and a little small with , and tired looking. But nothing to complain about, and i am sure next time we stay we will upgrade to a larger room with a sea view. The staff where exceptionally helpful and pleasant and the overall experience was like going back in time to a quieter more friendly hotel experience, not like the more modern steel and glass impersonal hotels of the current century. if you are looking for a gentle break with good food and great views then i would highly recommend this place.

Stayed here for a wedding taking place at the venue. Room was small and quite dated; could hear people walking up and down the corridor due to the thin walls and bouncy wooden floors. Setting of the hotel is nice, and buffet breakfast was very good quality however.

Impressive location and well maintained (sometimes find grand hotels can be a bit shabby but not this one from what I saw). Had a large, sea view room, good decor and fittings. Helpful attentive staff. Bar had a good range of beers, menu also had a reasonable selection and food was good. Wifi a bit sketchy but otherwise no problems.
