Asked on three separate occasions not to wash my vehicle and assured every time it'd be left alone. I picked it up last night with brush streaks all down the wings, tailgate, and bonnet with scratches and swirls introduced to the paint.
This is the second time they've covered my cars paint in defects. After receiving the car new I had to return it because it was covered in streaks, polish residue, and finger prints after their valeting team completely butchered it. It was returned and covered in swirls and scratches on the drivers side wing - no surprise there after learning its washed with brushes they leave on the concrete.
I had to take the car to be professionally detailed from BRAND NEW and multi stage polished (picture attached of a 50/50 showing what the paint SHOULD look like vs how Arnold Clark handed it over) and it took three days and cost me 350 pounds with an additional coating. I took the cost on the chin and swore I'd never let Arnold Clark touch the paint again. Now they've completely undone all that work and re introduced the same damage despite my explicit requests for my car not to be washed
To avoid the paint being marked I specifically stated not to wash the car when I was booking it in and handing over the keys, being assured by the receptionists that it would be left alone.
I asked to speak to a manager and told he was on a conference call (at 5:30?) and that I'd be called once he was done. Stupidly I agreed, left the garage, and now I'm being completely blanked. It's now the next day and I've yet to receive any communication from the branch.
Do not trust Arnold Clark to wash your vehicle unless you're completely fine with them covering the paint in defects, and light to medium scratching. I've been quoted a further 200 pounds to correct the damage caused including a fresh scuff along the passenger wing. No wonder I'm being completely ignored by the manager.
