Not worth the money.
Don't get me wrong, the rooms were nice enough, clean, and comfy. However, for the price we expected a lot more. For example: No water was provided on arrival (something commonplace in much cheaper hotel rooms) but I was informed the tap water was drinkable, there was no minibar provided, room service was stopped at 11 pm without any prior warning, and in general it felt like we were not being taken care of properly for the amount we had paid for the room - after visiting the pool, I called down to reception to request more towels and they just never arrived.
Outside of this the staff were fantastic, especially in the cocktail bar and restaurant. They were very attentive and happy to help with any request we had - which is surprising as it turns out the staff don’t receive any tips you add to your bill. So please remember to tip bar and restaurant staff with cash or they will not get a penny. The food was also very nice, although the menu is quite limited.
Breakfast on the other hand was not as good. It is a buffet style where guests que next to other guests to await their chance to ladle watery scrambled eggs on to a plate. This is an awkward and quite unpleasant experience as guests inadvertently hover over you hungrily, watching as you eat.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they can get a room for around £80 per night. It just isn’t worth anymore than this.
