York Digital Image york

Went to York Digital Image today, to get my professional graduation pictures scanned and reprinted, and I've come home and looked at the photos properly, and I'm absolutely disappointed at the low quality of the pictures. If anyone is wanting good quality printout pics, then do not go to this shop!

I found York Digital Image purely by chance whilst shopping in York. I had been thinking, for a couple of years, of getting some bespoke Christmas cards printed for my 'alter-ego' Billy no Mates, just for a bit of fun. A really helpful guy called Nick dealt with me and he couldn't possibly have done any more ! I already had the logo for my tag 'Billy no Mates' and between us we designed the finished card on the computer in the shop, Nick spent quite a while with me, trying different borders etc. until I was happy with the result. Nick then sent it to print, I ordered and was able to come away with 50 cards (though I could have ordered less) the very same day. The finished card is exactly what I wanted and only cost me £1.00 per card ....... The only problem is that as 'Billy no Mates', I now have 50 Christmas cards but no mates to send them to ...... lol. I would just like to thank York digital image for once again delivering first class prints of my work. I would recommend them to anyone in need of print related work to use this company. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks again team for another batch of superb prints.

AVOID As seen from most of the reviews on here, this place is a hit or miss. Unfortunately, I am ending my customer experience on a very low note. I have used York Digital Image for around a year now but I will not be going back again - I have gave them too many second chances. On multiple occasions I have had my negative scans sent late (despite me ringing up multiple times that day to make sure they were sent on time, they would agree and say half an hour - it took 6 hours missing my uni meeting about them and they had days to do this!) and on one occasion they got my negatives jammed. The last time I went they tried to charge me £45 for two rolls of film to be scanned, a joke when last time it was £8 - I eventually got it down to £14 but this was still a rip off especially for the disgusting quality they got sent to me in. I am sorry to write all this but I feel I should warn others not to use this place, especially for scanning negatives! I am a student and have wasted so much money there.

Had a great experience here today! We needed passport photos and some documents printed ASAP and they were able to handle it quickly, at a good price, and were extremely helpful/friendly. Thanks!!

I had medals an a commendation framed by digital image, the staff were very professional and made an excellent job on the framing. The medals can still be accessed and worn if needed. I would definitely recommend, no job is to big or small 👍 Thank you!

I had a very last-minute printing request and despite power outage issues, they went above and beyond to ensure that my requirements were met in a very short time. I am very impressed with the service and value for money and can highly recommend them for printing services.
