I cannot state how disgusted I am with this shop right now. As a disabled person, trying to buy granddaughter a knitting kit, I travelled from my village to York. When I arrived at the shop (4.45pm), no shop assistants around. After a long search, I found out be and asked for help. She pointed me upstairs, which I went to. The counter says someone is around, but after searching the entire top floor and calling out, no one was up there. I telephoned the shop 3 times, but no one answered the phone. So, I went back downstairs to find another person. No one could be found. Went to the tills, with My phone still ringing and asked for the manager. Couldn’t locate manager, but the full assistant did end my telephone call, without even answering it. The manager came, she said she’s not allowed to take calls, even if she isn’t busy and just standing around. The manager also said that she has no staff, because people no longer want jobs, that entail leaving the house. She said it wasn’t her fault that there is no staff to answer phones or facilitate customers. I love the fact that the manager holds NO responsibility for the running of her shop 😂 My email keeps coming back as failed. Please check your email address, as that one don’t work!
