YHA Oxford oxford

A really great Youth Hostel, well located behind the railway station in Oxford, and convenient for the Thames Path and the Oxford Canal, as well as all the sights of this historic city. The Youth Hostel has great rooms, and some lovely communal spaces, a cafe bar and a self catering kitchen too. The very friendly and helpful staff are a real credit to YHA and the reception is open 24 hrs. There is luggage storage on site too. Highly recommended!

The price is affordable with a great location just beside the Oxford train station. The room and bathroom are very clean and tidy. Staffs are nice and friendly. No lift to move the large suitcase, but it's not a problem. The light in the bathroom is a little bit dark, personally, I was scared to take a shower, haha, but the bathroom is very clean. Anyway, we just stay in YHA for one night, and it was a good experience!

Fantastic hostel with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff at reception which doubles as a warm, cosy cafe. Great food and a nice garden to get some fresh air in. Amazing rooms for the price with immaculate sheets and comfy mattresses, plenty of storage space and lots of charging points. Very clean bathroom and shower. Not the most centrally located and there is some noise from the trains pssing by, but it’s barely noticeable. One of the best hostels I’ve been to for many years.

Very good staff. Good facilities like kitchen and dining area. Also a cafe in house is very useful. As the building is next to Railway station train noise could be disturbance for senstive people. Bathrooms are very tiny.

A country side hostel for backpackers. The great thing is relatively cheap and one can cook. The bad thing is TV and wifi are only available at the communal arra at the lobby.

Good cheap accommodation with great kitchen facilities, it's clean, staff are friendly and it's altogether just nice.

The yha is always nice

Cheap accommodation but a bit ragged in some areas like the bathrooms. Pillows could be thicker. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Used to provide accomodation to any members of the public but now its being run by St Mungos Charity with collaboration with Oxford city council, to accomodate rough sleepers and find for them permanent accomodation

3 Schools having breakfast at once, had to wake up at 6 to be able to get some food. The food was bland and didn't taste like it was freshly made. The Rooms were dirty and the toilets didn't flush properly. The ventilation from the toilets leads straight into the rooms. The Beds had plastic mattresses. Overall not a great experience, can't say much about the prices because I was there on a class trip.
