We were given a two bedroom flat on arrival and found it very accommodating. Comfy beds and very clean and fresh decor. Would definitely come again. We just missed having a little sachet of coffee and some sugar for an early morning cuppa. Lovely place though. We all enjoyed it.

Upon first appearance it looks beautiful, lovely gardens entrance an bar. However it went down hill on our room, after paying nearly £80 for a standard double room and breakfast there was some things I kind of expected. Upon first appearance it looked clean an tidy, however I did expect hot water in the on suit shower room. I also expected the curtains to be hung properly, windows an sills cleaned cob webs an spider nest cleaned also, but also a lampshade that wasn't falling apart. It was these small things that really let the hotel down especially after you see the entrance.

The staff are friendly and to be fair the rooms were good for the price. Service has been mainly good and the rooms had everything you'd need and were clean. The place was never crowded. The food was ok, however the second time we booked it our dinner was cancelled due to flooding from the rain, which was strange. The whole hotel does look dated, and the free wifi would not work in the rooms or outside the bar/dinner areas (go figure). The room I was staying in was mostly fine but my parents' room was very warm the whole time even though the radiators were off and no one could help us with that.

I booked a room for one night through booking.com yes it was a last minute booking however, I was traveling from Nuneaton so over 3 hour journey. I received full confirmation emails of the booking. Upon arrival I went to reception to check in where I was told there was no booking. When I shown my email a second colleague proceeded to check my name (again) and my contact number which was all correct and then advise me that he attempted to phone me to advise they don't have any rooms available. I was advised I was rang but I wasn't. I was then told maybe I had no signal! This was not the case and even if it was you could have emailed. Every attempt to contact me should have been made. The response I received was so blazay. I travelled over 3 hours and had nowhere to stay. Everywhere was fully booked and I am sure you was more than aware of that as everywhere I tried was. Appaled by the let down and the lack of care I received about being turned away.

We like the Trecarn hotel in Babbacomb it's a good friendly place, we were there over the Christmas period and thoroughly enjoyed it. The meals are good and the Christmas day dinner was excellent also the Christmas day evening buffet. Our rooms were clean and tidy and as requested were on the first floor. Entertainment was also good. We can recommend this hotel the staff are friendly and approachable. Thank you for our pleasant stay.

Not the most modern- currently being updated. Excellent bedroom and bathroom, clean and bright. Meals were hot, tasty and enjoyable with good variety (only choice of vegetables small let down). Staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. Special praise for NATALIE on reception who changed room from first floor to ground floor to avoid stairs for 2 of our party; answers all questions with a smile and put up with some very rude workmen whilst keeping her composure. In the dining room TONY was unflappable, very efficient, very affable and helpful with everything he was asked. If you want good value for money and an enjoyable stay this hotel fits the bill

We stayed in for a night only. The room was surprisingly big and it has a bath which is a plus. The TV was outdated though. If your are a light sleeper, this place is not good for you. You can hear the footsteps and the creaking of the floor when people would walk outside your room. I have woken up numerous times all night. I had to take my medication just to get some sleep. Overall, it was fine. If you want to stay just for a night, that would be fine. The price is affordable and budget friendly for travellers like us. I would not suggest if you want to stay here more than 1 night.

Wouldn't book here again was given a smelly bedroom, asked to be moved, bedroom was ok but no shower

2/ 5

Wouldn't book here again was given a smelly bedroom, asked to be moved, bedroom was ok but no shower didn't fancy moving again, meals were not great, was here for a festive week, not very festive some of the staff ok but noticed a couple of them were more interested in getting their dinners first before clearing the guests plates. There was a lot of workmen there which is fine, but to have them going through the dining room in work clothes very off putting, from what we heard from locals in the area guests are normally rebooting into other hotels and they hear a lot of complaints about this place, the reason for the stars is a couple of the staff did try to make our stay here pleasant but definitely avoid it in future
