With such a nice space, the tobacco factory doesn't have to offer much to give a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The super high ceilings, that come with the old factory architecture, make it very breathable environment and the garden (although there is no grass) is well seated and has plenty of cover for rain. There's always something going on, whether it's live music in the bar or stalls selling amazing street food. The snug brings an other level of comfort and quiet, if your looking for a piece of solitude or to do some work with a coffee. Drinks are not the cheapest and there's not much of a cider selection (which is a shame for a Bristol pub) but it's nothing out of the ordinary for such an establishment. Overall this is definitely a place to go for a multitude of situations, like casual drinks with mates or doing some solo work, however it's not the place to get hammered if your looking to do it on the cheap.

We wanted to share a pizza. Not too much to ask. We sat outside with our little dog and placed our order. After 10 minutes the girl came over to our table from behind the bar to tell us our lunch would take longer than usual because the chef was very busy. When asked how much longer she said 20 minutes. It was irritating to have paid upfront then have to sit and watch no real cooking activity only general chatting at the bar. We waited the full extra 20 minutes, 30 plus minutes in all for just pizza. I could have cooked a frozen one in that time. Our pizza then arrived.... but without cutlery and paper serviettes that we had to find. Poor show.

Love this place for the market and events and the food is pretty good. However, not recommended for a Saturday night drink. Massive crowd at the bar and literally two people serving. Waited about 30 minutes for a drink.

Went here for a works lunch with 3 colleagues. To be honest I was slightly disappointed as I'm definitely not vegetarian but who was I to complain when the boss was paying!?! We didn't have starters but went straight for mains. One of my problems with vegetarian food is that the names of the ingredients seem to all be unfamiliar to me and therefore have to ask, which I don't really enjoy. Fortunately my boss seemed very knowledgeable and was able to explain all. I have a mushroom and halloumi burger with fries. OMG it was bloody gorgeous! I have always been of the notion that if a meal doesn't include meat then it's a snack but this was really really nice. I think we shall all be eating more vegetarian style meals in the future and if this it's what's it's going to be like, bring it on!!! Well done Tobacco Factory, you have converted me.
