Not a value for money. At 254 USD per night my first room was about the size of my bathroom with the bed touching 3 walls... Like a nook... Second room not much bigger, had dirty robe, and barely has running hot water in the tap. Empty minibar. Definitely not value for money. Would not stay here again... And sadly I am stuck here all week. Doesn't feel like a 5 star hotel at all. I will say the bellboys and one lady at the front desk were very polite and helpful.

Great location for exploring Edinburgh. Courteous and efficient staff. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds. Multiple dining facilities with delicious food and fine drink.

Extraordinary. This is a very good hotel. We upgraded to a suite and it is the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in. It looks like a Ralph Lauren catalog in here -- living room plus bedroom -- corner room with a view out the front of the hotel. Service is fantastic -- breakfast is included and it's very good. It has both a complete selection of both hot and cold items -- very good. We'll be back and we'll stay here.

Excellent hotel. Character style. New rooms tastefully done. Really helpful friendly staff. Great location in the new town area. Local to shopping, museums. Bus and tram routes.

Was at the Principal (George) to officiate a wedding. Wonderful venue. Staff could not be more helpful and the wedding reception food and service was outstanding. Thank you everyone for making a great day for the bride and groom.

We chose for our Christmas holidays the Intercontinental in Edinburgh where we stayed for 7 nights. First of all, the location is great, you can visit the whole city on foot. The room was very nice and clean, while the bed was unbeatable. The staff was great. Nathan and Scott (Concierges) are just great, with a smile and patience they solved everything making our stay even better. Nicholas gave another note to the breakfast with his professionalism, while Christina at the Reception helped us by giving solutions to our questions. Overall the staff was impeccable. Top choice if you want a great stay in Edinburgh.

Great stay here over the weekend. Great location. Clean rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. It was my partners birthday and there was a desert and hand written card from the manager left in the room. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay in Edinburgh!

We were a bit reserved to come to Intercontinental in Scotland. Basically we expected not much of a quality. But... since reception and towards to our welcome drink we fell ourselves "home". Living in Intercontinental Cairo City Stars for over 2 years we used to be home there. So... room is very high standard, bed is comfortable, bathroom on a high standard level. Here we are. Enjoying our weekend in Edinburgh

Great for venues. My sister had her wedding there. Rooms are AMAZING. Staff are helpful. Clean and comfy beds. Walking distance to the shops.

Fabulous hotel with excellent service. Staff very friendly. Stayed for wedding anniversary and what a treat! Would highly recommend as very central.
