My partner brought me here for a surprise for my birthday and I wasn't disappointed. The room was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfy. TV choice was amazing, as they had SKY TV. There were good amenities. Safe, kettle, glasses, toiletries, complimentary tea, coffee, bottles water and biscuits. Social distancing means they can't come in and clean the rooms whilst you are staying, but if you ask for towels or anything, they will drop it outside of your door. One way system in place, which is well laid out. Staff were very friendly. Restraunt and bar next door. Amazing, will definitely stay again.

Absolutely amazing hotel run by superb staff! So accommodating, warm, considerate and friendly.. the hotel arranged special halal chicken for our stay and provided us with plenty of veggie options. From the chef to the general manager, the waiters/waitresses, cleaners and reception staff, everyone was exceptional; making sure they went the extra mile! It was our first visit to Exeter and we would definitely come back. We travelled and stayed with kids so I would highly recommend this place if you are travelling with children. A special thank you to the chef for accommodating a ‘halal’ setting in his kitchen for our meals. Great team effort thank you 🌟

We were served by Mrs Lesley, who was very friendly and informative. We were sat out of the way so it was nice and quiet. The only issues we had were the peas were cold on the fish and chips and the coffee ice-cream wasn't great. My mum had the carvery roast beef and loved it.

Today, we enjoyed a good carvery Sunday lunch to celebrate a very good friend's birthday. All six of us enjoyed our meals, with none of the vegetables being over cooked as is often the way with carveries. I found the restaurant attractive and very clean. The hotel is well maintained with the staff in attendance being friendly and sufficiently well trained. I would not hesitate to return. 😀

We had a lovely lunch here, I can really recommend the salmon and soft cheese sandwich. I'm gluten free but that was not an issue. Extremely friendly staff, who looked after is really well. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. Very comfy chairs.

Ended OK, but very slow service when I went in. Ordered Earl Grey tea which never arrived. Later ordered another which was fine. Later still, had coffee which was overflowing it's cup and tepid. However, the environment was good and the WiFi was fine, so, overall, the experience worked. Would I go there again? Probably, since there is nowhere else in walking distance from main garages in Matford. If you agree with these, please like.
