Very friendly staff, nice warm room, and a comfy bed. I enjoyed the bar,and was happy with the place. It would have been 10/10 but the bathroom for room 17 was not very clean and had no loo roll, not pleasant, but to be fair, when I complained it was sorted out. I will certainly be booking again for next year.

When we got to the hostel, we were questioning our choice but upon 5 minutes in the hostel our minds were changed, the receptionist was friendly and informative. Our room was a mixed dorm 8 beds. there was a washroom in the room and each bed had a light and a locker underneath. The bottom bunk has a curtain which is really nice. The hostel itself is HUGE with little history plaques all over. There is a bar with a pool table. While we were staying we met some really cool people staying at the hostel and ended up having really good chats with them. I would recommend. One thing I would say is that the pillow is not that comfy and of course it is an 8 bed room of strangers so there is the usual awkward stuff and risks so keep that in mind. I’ve stayed in many hostels and this one was definitely the chillest. The receptionist Jamie was really welcome and helpful and kind. Also worth mentioning is the kitchen which was big and offered toast, croissants and tea and coffee in the morning. A great touch! All in all a good stay!

We had a really good stay - the staff were very helpful. Our first room was a bit cold and then we spilled water on our bed (oops) but were able to move to a new, much warmer room with no fuss. Thank you so much!

Nice hostel to stay in with great range of facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast, although you had to pay, was well worth the money and had great options.

Had a great stay here. My bed was upgraded from a 12 mixed dorm to a 4 bed dorm due to the quiet period in the year. The lady working on her own was great. Always helpful and available to answer any questions I had.

The best hostel I've ever stayed in! We stayed here for one night at the end of a very long three day cycle. We definitely saved the best for last, we stayed in a private room. It was comfortable, very clean and genuinely lovely. Had a wonderful stay, including the late check out (which was rather needed after a late night celebrating the end of the cycle). The staff were so helpful and we really appreciated that we were able to store our bikes, even after we checked out before we got the train home. Would recommend to everyone.

Great location within a few minutes walk from the city centre. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the 3 flights of stairs up to our room but it's a lovely old building so there is no lift. I would stay here again.

Lovely building, room was plenty spacious and warm. Everything worked in the bathroom and the bed was comfy. No fuss, enjoyed my stay. Staff seemed very laid back, maybe too laid back. Had to prompt the receptionist to tell me whereabouts my room was when I first arrived. And they really gave me the key to the room where luggage is kept and assumed I'd take just my bag/lock the room up properly/return the key. I mean, they assumed right, but would have felt safer keeping my belongings there if I'd at least been accompanied
