Friendly staff, clean rooms, no lift so prepare to carry your bags up stairs, they were referbishing restaurant when I arrived so only doing continental breakfast but not a deal breaker. TV didn't work properly poor signal. Pretty standard hotel location was fantastic and with bag drop you can leave your bags there before and after stay.

Great location near to train station. Room was clean the bed was a bit hard. Nice selection of biscuits and fruit in the room, but did have to ask for more tea bags. Good selection for breakfast. Reception staff all very nice and helpful.. We like to use the 'hop on hop off' bus and there was a stop just outside the hotel

5/ 5

Had a nice couple of nights at the Royal Oxford. Well positioned, about 10 mins walk from the action and right next door to the train station and major bus stops, inc park and ride. Room very pleasant as were the staff. Breakfast was included and OK, but for the price I expected a little more. Free coffee refills for sure! Despite this, I would still highly recommend. Good value for money overall, considering you're in the middle of Oxford. We parked at the Seacourt Park and Ride which is about a mile away. Not worth the hassle of trying to take your car into Oxford. You can get the bus in, it's about a mile or so, or you could walk - it's not far.

We didn’t get any sleep because people next door came in at 3am and started banging on our door intentionally, running around, cursing and making a noise. It took the hotel staff an hour to sort this out. I felt unsafe and stressed out. The second half of the weekend was ruined, we ended up cancelling our plans and returning home early. I honestly didn’t expect Royal Oxford to have guests like this. I believe this is what happens if you have a 24 hour reception, and customers can come in at any time at night.

Very well located near train station. Clean and comfy rooms with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Good range of breakfast options and drinks. But what made it worth 5 stars is the staff, everyone very kind and helpful. Especially Sandra, the receptionist who goes above and beyond to make our stay agreeable, give us great advice on local amenities and has always a kind and welcoming attitude.

Had a great stay at the Royal Oxford! The staff were awesome and very helpful. The rooms were ample and secure with an impressive bathroom. The location was perfect for exploring Oxford. We parked at the Seacourt carpark and took one of the regular park and ride buses right to the hotel door. Would definitely recommend, thank you!
