Rooms are small and basic but do the job. For what you get, it is a bit of an expensive option. Breakfast was good, but for a B&B feel, it wasn't a very complete breakfast. Check-in is where The Osney Arms is really lacking. Upon arrival, you need to phone the manager if they don't happen to be on-site. At my arrival, no one was there, but over the phone there were instructions as to how to access the building and where my room key would be. After a bit, I was sorted and in my room. When I find myself back in town again, I'll more than likely not stay here again.

Excellent. I arrived 3 hours early due to an unexpected holiday curtailment due to hurting my knee and foot; and it was no problem. My room was ready by 12 and I was provided access to ice in the kitchen. Rooms a bit noisy, being on a main road, but that’s what earplugs are for. Very nice no fuss breakfast, a nice change from the full English’s I’d been eating and more than enough variety on offer. Very good quality 3⭐️ Hotel.

The location was around 20 minute walk to the centre of Oxford city. The breakfast facilities were really decent. It's more or less a hostel/B&B so you check yourself in, wash up your stuff you used for breakfast etc. The room was very clean, albeit I was on the top floor with slopping roof at the height of 6"5, was a challenge to stand up in.

DO NOT BOOK if you actually want a room! Had to put a star to leave a review, this would be ZERO stars. This hotel left my 18 year old daughter and her friend without a room in Oxford. She received confirmation of the booking and emails, however when she got there, they had given the room to someone else. Though it took time to even find this out, as when they turned up, nobody was around other than the cleaner, after knocking solidly for 10 minutes, they were told to come back. The cleaner briefly looked for their booking, but couldn't find it. So they left their bags and came back a few hours later to then be told that they didn't have a room. They weren't apologetic, in fact they really didn't care that they had left two young girls without anywhere to stay, they had booked and reserved it. Disgusting. This was my daughters 18th birthday weekend, and it was ruined as my daughter and her friend then had to spend a few hours trying to find a room in their budget on the day in a busy City. She went to The Royal Oxford, which was fully booked, but the lady there helped the girls find a room, that is good customer service. This is a despicable way to run a business. They took the person who paid first, and left my 18 year old daughter with no accommodation in city that is busy. DO NOT BOOK - Terrible hotel

Awful experience! They pilfered our luggage until morning due to a mixup with the house keeper who does not speak any English. They did nothing to make it right even after we were forced to wander the streets at 1am and buy a phone charger so we could wake up for our flight. The property owners do not check guests in or keep phones on late for big issues. See other reviews for more of this. Key to back door is not secure and presents a security risk. Some rooms are dated and shabby. My room was a tiny attic with barely any room for a bed. Bathroom of friends’ room was dated and weird. Breakfast is continental which is unusual for an advertised bed and breakfast.
