Staff was very friendly and commons areas were really great, very good location and good price. Con is that the hostel is right in front of a bar that is really noisy till 2am.

A small, almost hidden, backpackers and travelers hostel, with a kitchen that encourages food preparation. The best place to park is probably the Oxpens parking area, about an 8 minute walk away. There are closer places, but much more expensive.

Very dirty, the sleeping area is dim and feels dirty. Toilets and showers are quiet filthy. I was only staying a night and it was pretty cheap so not a problem for me.

Stayed here overnight for work this week. I loved the place. A fun atmosphere and great value. I'm 6'3" and the beds were suitable for me. The ONLY downside was the noise from the very close night clubs. It wasn't too bad but definitely a consideration.

Good location. Fab staff. Other guests were a bit noisy... But to be expected on the weekend I guess! It is a good place for a night or two just to get your head down and explore Oxford/enjoy an evening at the theatre without having to worry about traveling home afterwards. Would return. Facilities are really good although on this occasion I did not use them. Decent shower and nice shelf in bunk area. Good decor throughout.

Pleasantly surprised. It's been a _long_ time since I last stayed in a hostel, which was quite a grim experience. Much different Here, where the staff have all been friendly, the rooms and common areas feel reasonably clean. Shower rooms are cleaned between every use. The two of us stayed in a 4 bed room (2x2 bunks) . Beds were comfortable, room was spacious. Being a Saturday night, there was a lot of noise from the nearby bars/street below (around 12-1am) - they have ear plugs available if you need them! We didn't spend much time in the common areas. When we first arrived, it was pretty busy with people watching TV, eating dinner. Morning was pretty tame, I sat watching TV while I waited for my friend to get showered. Tea/coffee is freely available in the kitchen, which seems to have lots of storage space in cupboards and fridges.

Reasonable price compared to other options, but loud noise from nearby clubs so you probably won't be sleeping until 3am. Also don't think it is much of a social/ party/ backpacker hostel as most people seems to be just there for a cheap crash for the night, but then I suppose Oxford is not too big of a tourisy/ party place
