I absolutely loved each of my training sessions with Tom. He makes exercising fun and also interesting. He also explains what we are doing and why. I have learned a lot, not only about getting in shape, but also how the different muscles connect and work. Each session is an hour long, including warm-up and stretch. He is a true professional in his training and his approach to physical fitness.

I started training at ProTom fitness a few months ago and do a mix of the group sessions and personal training with Dom. I’ve really enjoyed learning a new style of kickboxing, especially learning to spar, which is done in a controlled environment which is great for building confidence. Dom is a really great trainer, he brings loads of enthusiasm and energy to all of his sessions which are the perfect balance of being fun but also challenging- I am pushed on every session so feel like I am constantly learning something new. The benefits have gone beyond learning a new skill - I have noticed an amazing improvement in my fitness and have lost nearly 4kg in the six weeks that I’ve been training with Dom. I have only positive things to say about my experience with ProTom fitness and look forward to continuing kickboxing with them!

He is truly dedicated to his craft and really cares about his clients. I am always put through my paces and am amazed at how far I can be pushed! Second time with Tom and he is even better than before! At the beginning of 2021 I had an opportunity to plan a long overdue break and spend a few months doing marine conservation diving in the Raja Ampat region of Indonesia. As part of this program I would be able to train up to Dive Master level however this required a signed medical certificate and there was no way I was going to pass it in my current state. At 57 and nearly 18 stone it was not entirely surprising my blood sugars and cholesterol were at problematic levels. Whilst the lockdown didn’t help it was clear that my weight was going the wrong way since I last saw Tom way back in 2013! I gave up drinking and improved my diet and managed to lose a stone over a few months but I still felt very unfit and knew I would struggle to pass my medical let alone dive twelve times a week for 2-3 months. I decided then that my best option was to get private hourly sessions 3 times a week for 10 weeks which would have to happen at 06:30 during the week as this was the only way I could fit things in. I needed more than just having someone watch me on cycle machines and doing weights so I turned back to Tom. When I had seen him before he transformed my skiing by designing specific training programs to focus not just on strength and cardio but also mobility and functionality. The other great thing about working with Tom is that whilst you can feel the muscles you have worked on you are never in pain such that you can’t do the next session which is probably due to the awesome stretching he does with you. This time was no different with a whole load of new techniques, core and rotational exercises. The difference is phenomenal - my body just seems to work properly, my dodgy knee is a lot better (he is great if you have pre-existing injuries) and whilst I didn’t actually lose much weight my body shape changed and I was able to dust off plenty of old clothes! Be under no allusion it is hard work - Tom will always push you but he seems to be able to judge your limits and keep you going. If you are prepared to put the effort in Tom will work wonders! The most important part is that my bloods are all now within normal levels, I passed my dive medical comfortably and I am totally confident I will be able to dive so much more comfortably.

Tom is the best trainer I have ever trained with. He has the eyes for details to correct and help you to develop your skills in every aspects. I train with him over 4 weeks now and I would never change it to another person. Very trust worthy reliable and flexible with qll your needs. I am more than happy to recommend him to everyone, who is looking for someone to stand by them and bring the 100% out of them!
