We usually stay in Premier Inns with no problems but this time a few things weren't great. The room was freezing and the air con heating just couldn't cope and wouldn't warm the room up... eventually they gave us an oil heater. The bathroom sink had beard hairs behind it! The toilet door wouldn't lock. The staff were great, friendly and helpful but the desk was unmanned and you had to ring a bell for attention. Not sure the bell actually worked as it took ages to get their attention... and based on the above, we'd experienced this several times that evening. Breakfast was OK apart from the coffee machine wasn't working. Breakfast is to order and not buffet style, but you can still have as much as you want. When we spoke to the manager in the morning she was very apologetic and compensated us. This was probably an off day where several things went wrong for us and the rest of the guests (and it was full as they couldn't give us another room) were fine and had a good warm night's sleep.

Good prices and a good place for a necessary stopover. Not a great deal to do within walking distance but there are several dining options in the service area.

Helpful staff and what you would expect re facilities, but the temperature in our room was far to hot, and we were not able to control the thermastat. This made it uncomfortable to sleep in. Our friends on the floor above did not have heating and were having to use portable heaters. The hook on the bathroom door was broken and despite there being three people in our room, only 2 bath towels and a hand towel were provided. This is a Premier Inn that requires a bit of a refurb.

Stayed for 3 nights during a short break to York. The hotel is easily accessed from the main road and is a short drive away from York or the Park and Ride. The hotel itself was very clean but a couple of the hand sanitizer stations were empty during our stay. The room and bathroom were clean and the room benefited from a/c. The bedding was clean and the bed itself was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing extra pillows when requested. Overall good value for money.

4/ 5

Stayed for a couple days as we were having a short break in York. We found corridors, room and bathroom were clean, tidy, well appointed. We did find the room a bit warm at night even with a/c running, and had to make use of the fan provided. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly & helpful; especially given the issues coming out of lockdown. Unfortunately though, they had issues with food in the restaurant due to delivery problems; almost half the menu & drinks were not available whilst we were there. We had breakfast each day as part of a meal deal which was good value, but ate out in the evenings. Easy to get to from the main road, easy to reach the Park & Ride. Good value for money.
