Stayed for 2 nights, had a lovely cosy loft suite with some great views over York. Very clean, the room had a nice spacious bathroom with a large shower and bath. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast both mornings which we enjoyed, you could choose between a decent range of hot and cold offerings covering the usual bases. We will be returning!

What a beautiful hotel! Very modern design and decoration in combination with legacy architectural elements in the rooms. The reception staff were incredible, very helpful with providing maps and info on basic tourist spots to visit and also info on good places to go for a drink or food in the area. The rooms are stunning, very spacious, huuuge bathrooms and very nicely decorated. Compared to other hotels I've visited in the UK, Jorvik House moved at the top of my list. It is located right across the Museum Gardens's North Gate and part of York's wall, which offers a nice morning stroll to guests. It's also 2' walk away from the riverside and 5' walk from the historical city centre inside the walls. There is not allocated parking for guests, but the nearest park is 3' walk right at the back of the hotel, which costs around £13 for the entire day. When I visit York again, I will definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!
