Very clean, lovely room, quiet, friendly, great location, good parking, lovely setting and area. Dining room and bar area could do with being made cosy and being made into an inviting place to eat and drink in. The breakfast was of poor quality and quantity which is why it wasn't given a 5* Overall it was a fantastic stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely stay again 😁

A beautiful setting adjacent to the Abbey. The hotel grounds were carefully groomed and pristine. The hotel itself was immaculate in every sense. Very clean and tidy and Covid friendly with plenty of sanitising stations around the building and safety measures in place. The room was very comfortable and clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff were all very courteous and professional, nothing was too much trouble, and for that alone, we thank you. The food was amazing with a good variety and presented professionally. We could not recommend this hotel enough.

I went with my partner one week ago for 3 nights and our stay there was amazing ! The place is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and a castle. The staff of the hotel was really friendly and very kind. I have many allergies and they offered me a breakfast and a dinner that I could eat even not being part of the daily menu!( so thankful for this) They also checked on us if everything was ok while we were eating which made us to feel more comfortable there. They have vegan and vegetarian options which I personally think it is great since I have so many problems to find a place where I can eat because of my allergies. The bed is very comfortable!!. The only thing to say is that buckfastleigh is small town so you can walk the town in less that one morning. So you need the car to explore other recommended villages like Dartmoor , but in 20 min approx you can be there.

Really nice location, we were gifted a stay for a couple of nights, the only grumble I have was that the bed wasn't particularly comfy or big enough. Restaurant manager and the younger waitress were brilliant 10/10

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Room was lovely clean bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spotless really modern. The buffet breakfast was really nice and incredible considering it was included in the price of the room. Hotel was spotless throughout except 2 drawbacks was nobody seemed to empty the ashtrays or outside bins and there is no phone signal anywhere. Will definitely stay again but will remember to leave hotel number for contact in case of emergency.

Wow this place is even more beautiful in real life! The room itself was very clean, modern and light. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Check-in was quick and easy. Breakfast was really nice, a good sized buffet with plenty to choose from. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. We took an evening stroll around the grounds and through the abbey gardens. So many beautiful areas within including a sensory garden and herb garden of which monks heavily relied on back in the day. We could also hear a choir service practicing in the abbey - so relaxing! Thank you to the staff of Northgate house for a lovely stay.

Really nice place with friendly staff. The best part was the breakfast. They have a beautiful breakfast room with big glass doors that open wide on sunny days, it’s perfect. The food is tasty and well portioned and really tasty. Thank you for the warm welcome! P.S.: the surroundings are absolutely beautiful to explore both by day and by night.
