M&S Summertown Simply Food oxford

Busy. It seems to get premium stock and deli counter tempting. Good bakery and range of breads. I suppose it is catering for the demanding North Oxford market..Good!

Was 2 days before Christmas. Plenty of stock on shelves. Lots of tills open, no long queues. Was a pleasure to shop.

Does what it says on the tin. Mathew is what makes this place special. He takes customer service to the next level. Always a cheery word and a smile. It is a shame he's not used for internal training. Perhaps he is?

Excellent quality of large range of goods. Wide isles & relaxed shopping.

Has good food and the sitting area is nice, signs that make the sections more obvious would be nice though

Great to shop at 6am in the morning . Thank you to all staff who make this happen.

Good food products but bit pricey.

Very friendly staff. Always helpful and pleasant. Cleans and tidy inside. Good to see C19 rules being followed. Restricted people so social distancing wasn’t a problem. Had to wait outside for a couple of minutes but that was okay.

Quality food and products, quite pricey but still worth it. Hard to navigate if it is your first time in there but still very good supermarket.

One large man working at M and S asked me to take off my mask and glasses to do face-identification when I bought beer. He did that on two different occasions. M and S I demand that you review your policy vis a vis alcohol purchases or tell that incompetent person in your company off. I am 25 years old and look like I am 25. There is no good reason to put my health at risk to do face-identification. That incompetent person also did not seem to recognise my German national ID and asked me for a driver's license... which I have never been asked before in my 6 years in the UK. I have the feeling that he was just mocking me and took pleasure in putting my health at risk.
