A good modern hotel, the rooms are nice, they are always clean and well presented. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The location is good, and easy to get around the city from the hotel making it a good base when staying in Edinburgh

Nice central place to stay in the old town area. Good breakfast buffet, walk to all the shops and restaurants on Royal Street. Would definitely stay there again. Very nice staff.

Very nice staff although my room was a bit dirty there were stains on the carpet amd bathroom door. The bar was very nice with good food and friendly service. Just the cleanliness let it down.

Ideally located (we walked everywhere), comfortable beds, good breakfast selection. Housekeeping very attentive and provided prompt assistance to our requests. Booked through the hotel website and liked the option to check in the day before and choose our room online. Free snacks and a simple dinner provided in the executive lounge.

Nice reception, good breakfast, helpful staff. Some rooms are so tiny they seem more for just 1 person. Good location.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The executive king room could be a little better as the bathroom needed some maintenance and also we thought we should have a bath and a shower but we only got a shower.. I think we were given a queen room and not a king. The sofa bed was very worn and carpets need a clean. Breakfast was perfect with a good selection of cooked food,breads, pastries ,cereal and fruits. Executive lounge was fabulous with snacks and drinks available and alcoholic drinks from 6pm til 8pm free to use when staying in the executive rooms.Other than the room it was a perfect stay. We loved the little package on Christmas morning outside our room.. so sweet.. Thank you all the staff for a great stay.

We held our Wedding Reception at the Hilton Carlton and it was a great success. Bedrooms for the Bridal Party and guests were excellent and the staff catered for us very well throughout our stay. Planning was taken care of by knowledgeable staff. On the day itself they were switched-on and prepared for everything... including an over-run on the speeches. We are all very grateful for the efforts and care given. Highly recommended.

Standard Hilton hotel with basic accommodations and standards. No real issues or high points throughout our quick one night stay. Fitness center was hard to find but very good for what I expected given hotel gyms in Europe.

Clean, great location and good service. Good value for the money and will definitely return on our next visit. It is easy to access the train station.
