Bit of a doss house. I'd recommend anywhere else! Only one towel for a double room. One glass shower was terrible. No pressure and went from freezing cold to scolding hot. Oh and the tap sprayed me all over so I look like I peeed myself.

The hotel is clean enough albeit very old and slightly in disrepair. The room was clean, sheets were okay, and it had what you would expect from this sort of establishment (towels, kettle, etc.) There is no formal reception and no parking. No bike area either (we cycled) but the staff were helpful and found another room to keep them in. If I'd have to, I'd stay again, as nothing was really that bad, but wouldn't recommend if you have other options.

Long story short: avoid! Man, this is a bad hotel. I'm not even sure we can use the word hotel to describe it, since it's more of a old house they rent for the night. Positives: safe, warm and close to the station. Negatives: weird vibes from staff, absolutely no toiletries, thin walls, no decent place to store your luggage, cramped bathroom. Cambridge is a expensive place and there were no vancancies elsewhere, but I advise to book Ibis near the station weeks before you visit, then you'll be good to go!

It was a very nice stay but a bit expensive, for £99 for 1 Adult and 1 Child, In family room. Which holds 2 Adults 1 Child. I would of gave 5 stars but the price.

Another exmple of the quality of small hostels/hotels in the UK. Old and decrepid, repainted and repainted, nothing works very well, shower, tv etc.etc. Over priced compared to the rest of Europe today. My 1 week stay was paid by a third party. Its worthy of 20-30 max pounds per/night.

Nothing special, but its at convenient location just 2-3min from Cambridge train station. The rooms have not very good sound proofing (at leat in old rooms, and it seems that they are refurbishing it bits by bit, so maybe that will be improved). I would say for that price its ok to stay for 1-2days, but if to stay longer then I would try to find somthing better (if your pocket allows).
