The hotel is pretty old. However, I think these information and the condition of the rooms are shown in the pictures when you are booking them. If you want the cleaner place, you may want to add few more GBP and look for the newer hotel. The location of the hotel is great as it is almost in the city centre area with walkable distance to most places. There is no parking space, however, there is one big public parking space where it charge you 35GBP for 24 hours. Considering the price of the hotel, it may be pretty reasonable. You MUST know, that this hotel have no elevator / lift. From the entrance, you need to climb up the very long stair to access to the main reception. If you are traveling with elders, kids, disabled, please be aware. This info maybe in the hotel booking description, however, many people might ignore this as it is uncommon for hotel nowadays to not have the elevator. Staff is very friendly and polite though. We've only stayed for one night, therefore, I'm not sure about the room cleaning service. The room only got one small fan made out of plastic. It can be hot during the summer. Beside from this, it is okay for families to stay while traveling Oxford.

Lads night out with no care in the world? Fine. However, it is pretty rotten. Take some sort of footwear for the shower. Want a nice place to stay with a partner or family? Don't!

Shocking. Needs knocking down and re building. Paid £120 for the night and I would rather of slept in my car. The noise coming from the bar directly downstairs is ridiculous, it literally sounds like the DJ’s in my room. 1:30am and the noise is still booming. Wouldn’t even let my dog sleep here. Stay far away from this gaff

Central for wot we needed but the whole place was a dump. The only reason why i gave it 1 star was cos bed was comfy. After passing it several times we were told by a passer by it had changed its name. Not good. Walked round for ages. Reception n receptionist was very scruffy.

For the price I paid at the time, I should had just paid 10pounds more and stay in a decent hotel. Location cannot be faulted as you can stumble out and in from a night out. But cleanliness needs a lot of attention

We really liked our host and the room was clean to a standard that was bearable but there was dust on all the light fittings, two of which didn't work. The shower tray was so cheap it felt like it was going to break. Its good value for the city centre, but we would probably pay a little more for a little bit of luxury.

Looks OK at first, but the more you look the more you see it's uncared for. Mould in the shower. Staff never present (though when the one guy checked me in, he was lovely, but massively distracted by his phone). Broken bead headboard. Damp ceilings. Good location.

The shared bathroom door was literally falling off its hinges and needed to be physically picked up to lock it. The room itself was ok, cleanish but really in need of a refurbishment. There was also a strong smell of weed throughout the building. On the plus side, it's very cheap and the location is indeed excellent.
