Ealing Studios, a television and film production company and facilities provider at Ealing Green in West London, claims to be the oldest film studio in the world. It was used for pick up shots in Attack of the Clones in the last week of March and first week of April 2001 and again in October to November the same year. Ealing Studios produced a series of popular dark comedies starring Alec Guinness in the late 1940s and early 1950s, including Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), The Man in the White Suit (1951), The Lavender Hill Mob (1952), and The Ladykillers (1955).

Will Barker bought the White Lodge on Ealing Green in 1902 as a base for film making, and films have been made on the site ever since. It is the oldest continuously working studio facility for film production in the world,[1] and the current stages were opened for the use of sound in 1931.
