I completely trust the dentist I see here, he is efficient, friendly, explains what he does, and most of all I find the interventions to be painless. The assistants and secretary are also always nice and helpful. I must add they are on time which is also a plus !

I found this dentist very poor. Everytime attended I was seen by someone new - is it graduates that work here for a couple of months. Also, told a tooth would need to come out and would need an implant. Just been to another dentist who can save the tooth. Not a good experience.

I had an encounter with bad customer service. I raised this in a review. The owner of the practice contacted me and made things good again. It's nice to see how the owner cares about his practice and customers. I was impressed with this.

5/ 5

Been going to this practice for over a decade with my family and have always been treated very professionally. They have invested heavily in the building interior over the past few years and it now feels really modern, bright and clean inside. Had my first piece of post-lockdown work done recently and their hygiene measures are second to none - top marks to Rose, Liz-Ann and the team!

1/ 5

I arrived around 3 minutes late for my 2.30 appointment and had to wait a further minute for somebody to get to reception. I was immediately told that my slot had been taken by another patient as I was late. The nurse checked with the dentist and confirmed that I would need to reschedule. There was no explanation of why I couldn't swap slots with the patient who had just taken my appointment slot. I presume this means the whole queue was behind schedule, and I was just the unlucky punter who got bumped. Gee thanks, it was my first appointment at Comiston Dental. When I questioned this rather draconian approach, I was told that it was a 15 minute appointment and so there was lots to do and...and...and... However, I was very clear when I made the appointment that I wanted my teeth to be cleaned also. It's impossible to do a dental appointment and proper teeth cleaning in 15 minutes without risk to the patient. Teeth cleaning takes 15-30 mins on it's own. I didn't reschedule. They wasted 2 weeks with me waiting for the slot, and 40 minutes of my time today travelling to and from this non-existent appointment.

So they make the mistake of pouring bleach (hypochloric acid) down my neck and the next appointment

1/ 5

So they make the mistake of pouring bleach (hypochloric acid) down my neck and the next appointment it's more about, how they made no mistake. No concern in an emergency aswell; it's a disgrace of an institution and a health risk to go to them. Would not write but to warn others.

Have been going here for a few years now. Eleonora is my dentist. She's awesome.. and that's coming from somebody who normally feels squeamish about dentists. This is the first time in my life I've been going to my dentist on a regular basis, and I look forward to it too. So I'm pleased. I once turned up on the wrong day and had to see one of the other dentists who was good too. The receptionists are friendly and efficient. They don't take card, but there's a cash machine nearby. Their preferred method of payment is cheque. Probably the only thing I use my chequebook for these days :-) Highly recommended.
