I'm only giving a bad review because the owner has no customer service skills whatsoever. I used this practice for over 20yrs with a great dentist. Unfortunately the owner was let loose on the phones and was really rude when I tried to cancel and rebook an appointment giving more than 24hrs notice. He claimed that wasn't enough time and he won't book another one till I know if I'll be free. Now their policy is 48hrs notice but I've found a much better dental practice.

After having a very bad experience at another local Gorgie practice, Gorgie Dental was excellent. My dentist is lovely, sensed that I am a nervous patient and took the time to explain things to me to help me feel at ease. All staff were professional and helpful.

I registered with the practice on Monday and had my first appointment with Miguel on Thursday. I can’t fault him he did a fair bit of work and has managed to do something that has now made my teeth less sensitive. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and I am really pleased with the service provided.

Stopped attending due to the tone I was getting regularly from reception and the bald guy who decided to leave halfway through a root canal. This was postponed as the dentist had no assistant. This was now a few times the procedure had been "done" and I was left in a fair bit of pain. Then there was a mix up with when a crown was to be fitted which, instead of seeing how this happened with the multiple appointments booked, I was hit with a bill that there was a flat out refusal to remove. The dentist I had was amazing in terms of being a nice person and very great at addressing concerns verbally, I'd like to mention this. Although the amount of work done, pain I was in constantly and the general attitude is why I won't be back though. My fillings also came apart pretty quickly leaving me wondering what I can do now! Avoid reception over the phones and the bald dude who looks as though he is trapped in the dentist like those squares you see in Superman 2 or some other purgatory.

I just registered here this week and thought the place was great. The process was easy, staff were lovely, and I got an appointment very quickly to have a filling replaced. I got dr. Ana Filipa Rodrigues' and she is absolutely hilarious, on top of being professional, supportive, and patient. I always hated going to the dentist, but this was quick and painless.

I had a broken tooth, he had to Move it. The trauma the dentist did to mouth was not good. He cut my gum, removed bits of tooth at a time. I left in agony i thought he had left tooth in. No my bone and nerves where exposed i my mouth. I was in alot of pain for days it was effecting my ears, head, neck and jaw. Went back they stuck a mesh cover over it and it was fine he should have done that in the First place. I was never afraid of the dentist , i am now traumatised me.

Mr Cruickshank is very gentle and reassuring - ideal for highly sensitive receding gums and anxiety! 1 of the receptionists used to be quite curt towards me because I'm an NHS patient due to mental health problems and chronic pain, but used to hiding it and appearing fit. However they're all very nice now. I've previously seen a lot of different dentists at the dental hospital (for implants) so have had some not so good experiences, so feel I can comment fairly.

Deplorable poor quality dentistry from this lot. I’ve had 2 failed root canals which is virtually impossible and highly negligent. Practice Manager won’t communicate with me refusing assistance after weeks of pain. Il be taking legal action against this practice. Fact.
