My third time experience here at the Sachas. Nice Hall. Good Atmosphere. Large and well lit. The decor is first class. I will surely be there again.

Not very pram friendly, there was a hand operated wheelchair lift, no staff offered to help show me how to use the lift, thankfully i had my 13 year old son to help lift the pram up the stairs. Room was filthy dont think the corners of the room has seen a hoover in a good while. Big lump of black hair in the plug hole of the bath, only good thing was the location!!

Has declined rapidly over the last few years which is a shame because it used to be a really good hotel The hotel itself is clean and the staff I bumped into while walking around the hotel are really nice but the room I was in was really poor. Cobwebs around the roof in the shower. Had a plug socket hanging off the wall which I really didn't want to use. Rooms are far too warm. Had our door open when inside and had to do the same while in a friend's room on another floor. As silly as it sounds, the toilet paper hadn't been changed since the last guest was in there If you want a below average hotel for an above average price this is your place

Very low standard. The only reason I give 2 stars is because of the location, very central. Even though, 1 of the road was dirty with junkies passing urine and doing other stuff. Also, they advertise half price for parking from £20 to £10 with a discount voucher from reception. However, we checked the price when we arrived to the parking and actually it was £11. The photos will say the rest about the room. I really regret to have booked a room at this disgusting place!

Quite simply the most disgusting, horrible, dirty, bland, smelly and confusing hotel I've ever stayed in. We were on the smoking floor, which apparently is still a thing and unbelievably the room didn't have a window. HOW IS THAT LEGAL. The smell of stale smoke that has brewed in the room for 50+ years is quite unique and entirely unpleasant. Add to that the heat and stench of two young men sozzled from a night out in Manchester and by 9.30am you have a truly sickening concoction. The bathroom was vile. The ceiling was covered in either mould, blood or excrement. Putrid. I do not feel any more clean for having used the shower. I saw someone in the hotel pool. I can only imagine that they are currently projectile vomiting or desperately in need of the toilet. Poor souls. £53 for the night was far too much. I'd have rather slept outside on the urine soaked streets.

Not a bad little bar didnt know it was still open as I hadn't been in there for 10yrs or more. Bearing in mind it was a Saturday evening it was fairly busy. A fair few people at the bar waiting to be served approx 8 or 9 with only 2 people serving that quickly went down to one. So don't expect to get served for a while but plenty of seats & no trouble there a relaxed stress free atmosphere.

What can I say? Quite possibly the most extraordinary hotel I have ever stayed at. The Cecil hotel wouldn't have a look in although I am sure the night stalker would love to stay here. While entering the hotel, the chandler in the lobby is very reminiscent of the famous chandler on the Titanic. Quite amazingly unlike the Titanic this establishment has managed to stay afloat. Upon check in instead of the twin room that we had booked we got upgraded to two prison beds with a very hard mattress which is sure to improve your posture for weeks. The room I hear you ask? Well it had fantastic ventilation as the window was broke and could not be closed meaning there was a constant chill which is sure to keep you alert! The staff? Well if you like to be ignored and constantly lied to then this is the hotel for you. While technology has got so advanced with these smart flat screen TVs, it was nice to be brought back to earth with a 6 X 8 inch dumb TV with a big scrape down the middle.

Beautiful entrance, long queue to check in mid afternoon. Great service from the reception staff. Rooms were upgraded with windows - but were dated and worn. Bedding clean and white, one of the pillows not as fresh. 2 single beds pushed as a double. Really no problem for us, considering the price of the room. Restaurant and bar closed, noticed the bar had a sign 'cash only'. Would stay again. :)

Fantastic stay. Not sure about all the negative reviews... From the moment I arrived I waa given a glass of Bordeaux, which the staff had stomped on and made themselves . While signing in, the security guard gave me a Swedish back massage . I was then given a box of handmade truffles , made by the owner who is blind . They couldn't do enough!!! When I went to my room I was tucked in to sheets made of foetal alpaca and read a bedtime story which I thought was unnecessary ,but the security guard insisted . The whole building smelled of lavender and fresh linen. The food exquisite, why ? Only Ainsley Harriot himself cooked it- chicken nuggets, chips and beans. Highly recommend, the best in the United Kingdom

First Tried calling to enquire about accommodation but never answered the phones after several attempts. Price is too high. Got “upgraded” to a deluxe suite. Got a room with no working heating and a sofa that was falling apart. Room was dirty. Bed was uncomfortable. Door not secure so felt unsettling. Took half hour to get checked in. Got bites on my ankles (pretty sure this is bed bugs) no hot water. No working lights. Front of house staff are clueless and unprofessional. The only positive to this place is the location being close to the centre. For a Britannia hotel I expected better. Last time I use any from this chain in the future. Shameful.
