We loved this place. Great atmosphere, food and drinks with friendly and professional service. The open top outdoor space has fantastic views of Manchester. You scan a barcode to view the menu online and waiters take your orders. When we went there it was quite packed, yet the service was still in reasonable time. 10% service charge added to the bill, and they totally deserve it. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed my wife and daughter were in the venue. I was wearing £40 cargo shorts. I have been turned away as despite the 30degree heat they are not acceptable clothing. So I have had to leave my wife and daughter at the venue and have to leave. Very poor and very unacceptable will happily discuss with management this issue. I have been many times and spent monies at the venue and will not be visiting again due to this. 13th August follow on Thank you for your response. My wife has said at least three other visitors were wearing shorts including cycling shorts. I appreciate your dress code but I don’t appreciate inconsistency. This did put a blemish on a nice day we had with my parents whom had been shielding due to this awful situation. They were with me looking forward to spending time In your venue

Awful Experience - I booked for my partners birthday and my reservation was mixed up even though the day before I confirmed my booking. We ordered the T-Bone steak to share the waiter told us it would take 45 mins and advised us to order a starter so we did after waiting 30 minutes no starter we asked where it was and both the starter and main come out together. The steak wasn't great no flavour for £85 you are better off going Gauchos or Miller and Carter you would of had a better steak which is shocking as I expected better quality than cheap restaurants like them . We waited 20 minutes+ for the waiter to clear our plates so had to ask them for the dessert menu so they cleared out table. Not what I wanted for my partners birthday felt awful. I emailed - Riccardo Nelli the Guest Relations Manager who paid no attention to my email complaining no detail he even called me " Dear George " which is my last name... not my first name which is Rachel which is clear. Didn't even say sorry for calling me the wrong name he ignored my email for a week but see him replying to google reviews on here. took over a week to reply to my email only wanted to refund the service charge which I didn't have to pay in the first place even after admitting that the service wasn't great that day I am still hindered to paying the bill. If you really want a great place to go for dinner - Go to Ivy Asia top service from floor staff to chefs!! Even brought him out a birthday treat top service from them. They actually read my notes and make our experience so personal. 20 Stories just has nice views and lovely venue. Do not waste your time coming here for a birthday.

FELT WORTHLESS WHEN I WALKED IN!! As soon as I came upstairs a waiter had asked me if I am SURE I have a table booked. I was offered a table which wasn’t clean. I used a tissue in my pocket to clean the table. There were not many halal options on the menu so we decided to settle with some desserts and drinks. We were abruptly informed we have to order mains. The waiter walked off and didn’t come back. We tried to get his attention but gave up after. As we decided to leave he stopped us and said we can’t leave unless we pay £20 charge per person. We essentially paid £40 to get insulted. I would never in my life return to this place even if this was the last remaining restaurant on earth. I will ensure to inform everyone I know about the experience I had. Thank you 20 stories for the experience and thanks in advance for the generic reply this review will receive.

Really looked forward to this and it was a great night overall. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The venue is fantastic and the view and decorations are worth it. We really appreciated the extra gestures such as a birthday dessert. I would say though that it was very busy (Christmas party season) and the staff struggled a bit to provide perfect attentive service. The beetroot starter and 20 stories dessert were nice and well presented but sadly a little underwhelming. I'll confess we've had nicer for cheaper at other Manchester restaurants.

Wonderful afternoon tea, best in Manchester in my opinion after trying many others. Loved the mini cocktail pairing, and Roberto was especially gracious, personable and attentive without being annoying. Upscale, adult atmosphere. Only thing that would make it better is more quality and varied tea selection. Already had lunch and drinks on terrace in summer, and will be back again!

The building has 20 levels including the ground floor. It's a fancy place to go to, the prices are high, so I suggest to go there for special occasions. The cocktails were good, we did not eat, but I'll probably go back for that. The bathroom is clean and the waiter was attentive and fast. It also has a smoking space outside, which I appreciate.
