Bella Italia york

Me and our party visited Bella Italia for a meal the night before our mates wedding and it was a very enjoyable experience. A great variety on their menu and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed my traditional Italian lasagna. One of the better lasagna I've had. Also enjoyed some tasty, crispy calamari. Great service, great food, great experience. Hope to visit again.

The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. However we were a party of and got in at 5.30pm, we had no starter but had mains and pudding. From sitting down to getting the bill that I had to ask for twice it took 2 hours 20 mins....

Decent Italian fare. Nothing to elaborate. They keep it simple. Most people were getting pizza and calzones but they have some good pasta dishes.

The food was delicious, the service great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would eat here again and recommend this place 100%

Great staff and good atmosphere. Maybe bigger portion sizes but that's only because the food is really nice

Went for a lunch on a super busy Sunday in York with the whole world out. Bella Italia was heaving but we had good fast service, great staff and great food... any team that can perform to such high standards when under pressure is a great team

Fantastic food, brilliant price. £16 for three courses and quality of food was fantastic, served at an excellent pace, meatball starter was brilliant, pasta main was brilliant and brownie dessert was also amazing. Thanks to our waitress (Rebecca i think?). Would definitely be back

Everything started off well at our first visit to this restaurant. Starters arrived in reasonable time and tasted nice. But then our mains didn't arrive, despite several tables around us, who arrived long after us, all receiving their mains. Finally, 1 hour and 10 minutes after arriving at the restaurant, our main courses arrived. Such a terrible disappointment! Two of the pasta meals were stone cold, the pasta was hard, tasteless and dried up. The pizza was under-cooked, clearly hadn't been in the oven long enough and the dough was still white. The fourth main was flavourless and resembled nothing like what was ordered. We ended up sending 2 mains back immediately. 90 minutes after arriving at the restaurant, we finally left - extremely disappointed and shocked at being served such poor quality food. Bella Italia thankfully did the right thing and didn't charge us for the 4 mains. But it was very disappointing that an apology for the dire meal experience was only given when we paid for the starters and drinks and were leaving the restaurant.

Great Italian food restaurant. Friendly service and quick. Good quality food at a price though.
