It's the first time we've been to Yorkshire and we popped into the Old Grey Mare for a pint of Yorks

It's the first time we've been to Yorkshire and we popped into the Old Grey Mare for a pint of Yorkshire bitter, which everyone assures me is the best beer in the world. It was 7-00pm on a Saturday evening. The pub smelt like a toilet and they had run out of all draft beer. Welcome to Yorkshire. Not very good for an establishment which has John Smiths plastered all over the front wall.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Old Grey Mare as we didn't know what to expect from alot of the reviews we read prior to staying we found the staff very nice we had our meals breakfast and evening both days as they were very enjoyable (there is only a limited menu) the only thing I would say be prepared for the creaking floors in bedroom but what can you expect in a very old building 😊
