Frederick House Hotel edinburgh

No. Too cold then too hot. No sockets near the beds or bedside lockers. Bath leaked so couldn't use it. Bathroom light flickered when on. Constantly. Very basic. Our room when curtains open could see directly into others bedrooms and them into ours. cold when we got to the room then sweltering heat during the night woke us several times. Will go to Edinburgh again but won't stay here. Also do not pay for breakfast. It's in a restaurant across the street and not very good.

Great place for the price. I'd give it five stars if I could've eaten breakfast in the hotel (in my socks), rather than going across the street. The hotel room was very comfortable, the shower had endless hot water, and the location is within an easy walk of everything.

We love this wee hotel. Always enjoy our visits.

Stayed here many times now and we return for a reason. It's always reasonably priced, quiet, clean, the staff are cheerful and helpful AND it's central to the city. What's not to like?

Brilliant location in Edinburgh. Rooms a little tired but great staff, brilliant breakfast at Rabbles and rooms kept clean and well stocked. We are glad to have chosen this hotel and recommend it for a short stay in Edinburgh.

Stay here! Perfect location. I loved this hotel. Check in was easy. Staff were nice. Room wasn't tiny or anything. I had everything I needed and the room temperature was perfect. Beds were comfortable. What more can you ask for?

Excellent base for exploring Edinburgh. Clean and tidy, good value for money. Breakfast served at Rabble over the road was top notch. Vast array of pubs and restaurants nearby.

Great place to stay, in the heart of the New Town. Friendly, helpful staff and clean spacious rooms. Extra helpful is the free Luggage Room, where you can keep your bags for short term storage.
