Lovely stay here last night. Room was spacious, well decorated and comfy. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. It was a Saturday night so bar was a bit busy and lounge areas given over to the restaurant which made it hard to find a quieter place to sit and chat. But it’s good it’s busy! Would recommend for a nice break in the city at a special boutique space.

Was really blown away by the quality of the hotel. Clearly redecorated and very classy. The rooms were top notch and far better than potentially bigger names that reside round the corner. Tech facilities were the best I've seen across several cities. Being able to link and stream directly from you phone was great. The free wine social. Yes free wine daily! Really a nice touch. Having stayed in several hotels across Europe and New York this really is a gem across this price point.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. They have retained all the gorgeous Georgian features. It's quirky and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bed and room was comfortable. Furnished beautifully. TV has screen mirroring if you wish to cast rather than watch what's on TV. Breakfast was a buffet cold and some hot eggs, main hot dishes were made to order. Good selection and soya milk on counter as well as semi-skimmed milk. Food was gorgeous. I didn't use the pool and spa but would certainly return and have already recommended to family. Bathroom was small but there was only me. If you were a big individual you might struggle in the shower. Don't think I've ever taken as many photos of a hotel!

Nice hotel with very stylish rooms. The room was well equipped. The food was nothing to brag about but there is many pubs and shops nearby. The staff is very nice. Recommended!

Kimpton Charlotte Square is a stunning hotel located in the heart of Edinburgh. We stayed here for three nights to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. During the lead up to our arrival I was liaising with Clare, the hotel’s Guest Relations Manager, to help arrange a few surprises. Nothing was too much trouble and she seamlessly helped arrange flowers, balloons, a cake, the works. Everything was placed in our room beforehand making it a special arrival. We loved our Junior Suite, which offers lots of space and is stylishly decorated. The breakfast was delicious, both room service breakfast and in the breakfast room (we had both). We also loved the hotel bar, which offered a “social hour” from 5-6pm for hotel residents providing complimentary red or white wine. This was a lovely way to break the day between sightseeing and heading out for the evening. The bar was busy and offered a great atmosphere. Otherwise, the hotel itself is ideally located to discover Edinburgh. It is essentially bang in the heart of the city and everything is within walking distance. As an extra bonus, Edinburgh’s Christmas markets were minutes away, so we found ourselves wondering through them on a daily basis. All in all, this was a truly memorable stay in a fantastic hotel. Thanks to Kieran, Clare and all the team at Kimpton Charlotte Square for a wonderful stay.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. First of all the location is brilliant since it is so central to everything you will want to do in Edinburgh. Secondly, the staff were phenomenal. From the front desk to the spa and gym everyone was great. A special shout out goes out to Carla on the front desk who helped my girlfriend and I so much throughout our trip. The gym is huge and spacious and the spa was extremely peaceful. The hotel was clean and has a very unique and fashionable blend of old / modern aesthetic (I loved the artwork around the hotel) - the hotel lobby also smelt amazing (probably a weird thing to point out but still). Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Edinburgh.

Nice place to stay staff very helpful. I didn't like the bar area it was very noisy and extremely busy with passing trade. It would have been nice if hotel guest had their own area to drink in peace. Otherwise a nice central place to stay.
