Station itself is fine, with a waiting area. It always seems overstaffed though and staff always seek to be in healthy conversation with each other, to the exclusion of others. When they do decide to acknowledge you, service is generally surly and condescending.

Nice old station entrance (reminiscent of those of similar age on the London Underground) with a shop that sells drinks, snacks, newspapers and cigarettes. Lift to platform as well as attractive stairs. Enclosed waiting shelter and bike rack on the single island platform, with a few tubs of flowers to brighten things up in summer.
