Perhaps the most boring station on the entire Merseyrail network, the lack of staff meant, in the past, you could avoid buying a ticket then claim to have come from Manor Road on arrival at your destination (only really worth it if going to West Kirby otherwise the risks outweighed the potential savings) I have no idea if you can still get away with this money saving tip though
