On 2nd of March 2019 I did an international money transfer (£6000) from Oxford Branch. The bank employee told me that will take 48h for my money to reach my GBP account in Romania. On 6th of March I called the branch because the money did not reached the Romanian GBP account and I was told that happened because of an error (caused by the bank) and my money were on hold. The branch assured me that the money will be in Romania by Friday 8th of March, but that did not happened. On Friday 8th I was told that the next Monday 11th or Tuesday 12th that amount will be in my Romanian account, but without any luck. More than that, without consulting me, on 11th of March 2019, TSB put back in my account that amount but with £34.43 less!! I do not recommend.
My wife lost her card from our joined account and we called the bank to block it when she found it out then went to this office for ordering a new one. She received a new one but it was issued for me! Ok, we went there second time and ask to issue a **contactless** card for **my wife** again. Just received the card today and it was indeed issued for my wife but this time it wasn't contactless, even though we explicitly asked for a contactless one. And, moreover, her card wasn't blocked when we called the bank but, of cause, it's not this branch's fault.
An amazing bank that goes the extra mile.
Extremely rude and unhelpful after losing my card. Very aggressive tone when I asked for extra cash to cover me for the weekend as I lost my card on a friday. Bank wouldn't let me take more than 50 out but allowed me to take 50 each day for 5 days. A year or so Before lockdown the staff were great and really cared.
TSB is open again now, but Google Maps hasn't updated. I went yesterday and today :)
Excellent service! During lockdown, after branch closed, I needed help with transferring funds and the manager and cashier helped me with that. Very friendly staff. Thanks 👍
An archaic institution. Poor communication and thinks it's wise to upgrade its App and Internet Banking sites at the same time thus not allowing it's customers to access either 🙃
Rude customer service. Employees don't have adequate amount of knowledge to answer questions about accounts for international students, which is strange, since Oxford is full international students - you'd think this bank would be prepared to cater to them.
