Thurmaston Health Centre leicester

I don't understand why this place has such bad reviews. My boyfriend and I have been patients for 10 years and can't fault the place. You can get same day appointments if you call early enough. Occasionally you can be waiting a while if they are busy but the waiting room is spacious and theres all kinds of literature to read and the radio is on so it's not too bad. I don't usually go to the doctors more than 2 or 3 times a year but all the doctors I've seen have been exceptional. The receptionists are lovely and helpful. People like to moan at the slightest fault but we are very lucky to have the NHS and very lucky to have such a great team at Thurmaston Health Centre

Excellent service, great friendly staff , very good doctors, mostly I got same day appointment.

Ignored my chest pain and my mental state and phycial health called me a lier when it was his fault for not documenting my chest pain so the next doctor has proper notes

I changed to this surgery last year because of the mad service I was getting from Manor medical. It was great when Dr Singh managed it, appointments on time and getting great service. Since August I have been prescribed the wrong thing twice and now they just put the phone down because the surgery us due to close for the afternoon.

Unprofessional & staff have no idea what they or their colleagues are doing. I've lost count the amount of times they have lost prescriptions or got them wrong & once again they ring me with an appointment, & when I arrive it's not on the system. Used to be a great surgery, it has so gone down

Tried for couple of days for appointment. Battery for my phone died on me but staff didn't pick the phone. Tried in the morning, afternoon evening but no thete was no reply. Practice under Dr.Singh was perfect. Phones got answered and got appointment to see a doctor had no hassle. What a shame was excellent surgery but now service gone downhill.

They never answer your phone calls , Takes forever to get anyone and then they will say they can't help you with that illness and pass your details on to the health nurse home service at the hospital LRI. Never been so bad service for thurmaston. Even the older previous doctors service would at least answer you're calls and get doctors to call you back or make appointments for you .. Note to the doctors surgery you need more receptionist to answer calls 📞. I've been trying for two days. And can't get through.

I wouldn't even give one star...this drs is so worrying, you can never get a call back, see a dr, or even get anyone to answer the phones. You can be 5-7 in the queue and for the person on the end of the phone to say no appointments for 2 weeks, or ring at 8 o'clock in yet morning, to only start the whole waiting up to a hour or more, to be cut off..bring back Dr Singh and Ally back.

Would give less then 1 star for this health centre. The reception staff are diabolical. Maybe the doctors are too! Emailed for me repeat prescription nearly a week ago and it's it's not bene signed off or at least the chemist haven't been passed the order. Can get through to the health centre as the phones constantly engaged. Abysmal is an understatement and that's being polite!

What a rubbish surgery incompetent staff! I called at 8.00 this morning phone was busy, after call 89 I was on hold for 23 minutes. Booked in for a call with a GP for today between 2-3. Guess what?? no call. I started work late today to make the call, missed a meeting at work. For the receptionist to say..are you sure you called ??? we don't have you booked in!! Talk about stressing people out and making them even more ill! I have had anxiety all weekend waiting for my results, so stressful and they just don't care. How long would it take for the doctor to spare 10 mins of their time to go over my results. So upsetting, and frustrating. Treat people with respect! The manager was supposed to call back yesterday, Guess what??she didn't . I was then promised she would call back first thing in the morning, Guess what? She didn't!! Maybe they are in a different time zone.
