THRIFTY SCAM ALERT!!!! When we picked up our rental, the sales person offered to give us a. Upgrade to a BMW M3. We accepted and paid for the full insurance which was over 30 pounds a day. When we returned the car to this location, the woman said that we had scratched the cars rims and had to pay 220 pounds. We never hit anything in our car and explained that we had paid for all the insurance but it didn’t matter. Next time, DONT take the luxury car. It’s a scam. She didn’t even check the rest of the car, only the rims. She explained that they had to be filed down and re-polished but when I checked the other vehicles they all had banged up rims. GOOD SCAM THRIFTY.

No probs our one way booking from Birmingham airport to Bath worked well. Return at Bath a little off the beaten track but Thrifty generously drove us back to Bath, a fun trip where we gained los of good info.

Great service here. Despite all manor of IT issues on the day, the friendly lady at front desk who served me soldiered on and sorted my vehicle out for me promptly. The vehicle itself was clean and very good quality. On return was dealt with swiftly and professionally. Will use this service again no doubt!

Overall my experience with Thrifty started well but finished badly. The Northampton branch were very professional and the car was great. However; this was let down by the handback experience. A lady called Rhiannon was rude and unprofessional, not only was her attitude towards me unacceptable but the way she was speaking to the members of staff was outrageous, I am very surprised Thrifty even have any members of staff still working there with her. It should not matter how stressed you are behind the scenes, it should never reach the clients at the front desk. I would strongly recommend that the company reviews this person and the branch as it was an awful experience.

The location is a bit doggy and hard to reach. I've paid for a BMW and end up with a Citroen c4 ( the worst car I ever drove) but all in all the whole experience it was alright. Got the deposit back quite fast aswell.
