It's ok. Let's start with the good, there is a nice range of cocktails and these have been thought about well along the theme of Alice in Wonderland. It has to be said the Down the rabbit hope (gin based) was good and resembled a lemon meringue, the biscuit being very tasty. Others in our group agreed that they said the cocktails were as expected. Now the difficult bit. A bloody Mary is tricky to make with no tomato juice, no orange marmalade for the down the rabbit hole, and generally the vodka cocktails are a bit boring. When we went it was not busy but still kept waiting at the bar whilst bar staff continued their very important chat! The table service was comparable to Absolom (the caterpillar). The barman, when asked for a straw, was like the Cheshire Cat just disappeared. We expected a fun and unique experience but I would say it's a little confused with the blend of themes and lacked a good atmosphere. Generally this has the potential to work and is a good idea, however more work on customer service would be great.

So quirky and fun! You can order a teapot of alcohol and answer a riddle to enter. Open mic night is fun, but it does get a little somber with some of the indie players.

DJ played great music! 2 hen parties whilst we were there for a work party. Drinks were eclectic and novel - served out of teapots and teacups. Psychologically weird but alternatively cool on a night out

Quirky little bar down a side street. You won't know about the place unless you have been there or are going. Based loosely around an Alice in Wonderland theme with cocktails to match. The converted pub is small but really characterful. Bar staff seem to know their stuff while the managers are friendly and welcoming. I even got to experience some karaoke!

We booked a karaoke room with a group of 10+. We arrived and it was fun to answer a riddle before starting. The drinks we pre-ordered were all delicious and the variety was great. There was lots of selection of songs for karaoke, we had a technical difficulty at one point but it was quickly resolved and the staff were fantastic in responding to this. We even got some free drinks which was great. None of us had booked a karaoke room before, so we didn't know what it would be like, but were very impressed and had a great time. We would come back for sure!

Fantastic experience at the mat hatter, incredible in house design. But more than that the staff that served us was incredible.. I'm sorry we didn't get chance to ask for names but you both know who you are, painkiller(cocktail) was spot on!. Thank you for making a Tuesday night so fantastic.

I love love love this place! Thats 3 loves! We hadn't planned to go here but it was the only place open past midnight. We were part of a stag do but admittedly we weren't a rowdy stag (we were all wearing tops with rainbows, and unicorns on) and were made to feel welcome after solving a riddle. The drinks are amazing, creative and delicious and I will absolutely be back again. I may even make a special trip to Oxford just to go here. The decor is wonderful! The music is ace! I can't wait for my next visit! I'm bringing my girl friends here on a girl night as it feels so safe and wonderful. Fantastic work to everyone! 🥰🥰🥰
