As others have no doubt said, lovely setting in which to take tea,/coffee, lunch. We did both as weather not great. Were lucky to get a table so decided why not. Price is reasonable for central Edinburgh, service was very good, from reception to dinning staff. Happy to recommend given this experience, should not be disappointed.

I researched restaurants in Edinburgh for months trying to find the perfect place to take my boyfriend for his birthday. I wanted somewhere that felt like a treat but didn't leave us feeling hungry after. Surprisingly, it took a while to find this place and wow, it did not disappoint. On arrival you are taken back in time, treated like high class bankers (you can even ask for the history of the building which I loved). The Dome dinning hall is very large but due to the high ceiling and dedicated staff there is a really intimate feeling. We fell in love with the view and truly felt like we were back in time. The waiters were professional and attentive but not too invasive which we loved. As for the food it was beautiful, the portion sizes are generous and really fairly priced in my opinion. We were surprised the service charge wasn't included in the bill, but we felt the price didn't match the surroundings and quality of service so we made sure to include that in the tip and with this glowing review. I would recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh to experience the Dome!

Very nice dining room, but FREEZING. All building doors are left wide open, so restaurant feels likes a wind tunnel. My advice: wear very warm clothes for dinner. Tip: Best tables all the way in the back of the restaurant, on raised floor.

Magical! Over the festive season we went for dinner and the food was tremendous. Beautifully decorated and such a peaceful atmosphere. Once we had dinner, we went through to the bar area where it was extremely busy and difficult to get served but the fact that people queue to get in, it’s to be expected to have to wait. Love this place

I went here for Afternoon Tea with a group of friends. It was of a very high standard, and quite reasonably priced for what you got (at least ours was - we didn't have bubbly!). To be honest, I have had better afternoon teas, but *not* for £19.90 per person. Yes, the sandwiches were really good without being spectacular, and yes they didn't have a *huge* selection of teas but all in all a very good deal. Service was prompt, polite and professional. Environment was, unsurprisingly, lovely. Food quality was very good. All in, definitely somewhere I would go again, and I thoroughly recommend it; a Sunday afternoon well spent.

Afternoon tea at The Dome, what a treat! Beautiful interior, the Christmas decorations are stunning! Attentive and friendly staff, super food, and a good selection of tea. Relaxing, and not rushed, we were catching up and chatting for a couple of hours! Delicious scones with cream and jam, and individual cakes, tasty sandwiches, and a box provided if you want to take the last couple of cakes home.! There is a lot to get through! 😊 It would be a lovely gift to someone special to take at a later date!

Wonderful food, interior decor and ambiance always feels special. Wait staff very attentive and considerate. Excellent selection of wines and drinks. Would like a few more non alcoholic choices. This is a place I will happily go back to again and again. Don't miss out on their afternoon tea either!

I took my sister to The Dome for afternoon tea and it was amazing, we had a fabulous time. The staff were super kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the Christmas decorations were insane. It is just the most gorgeous building and we truly loved the whole experience from start to finish. We had the champagne afternoon tea and the champagne was just beautiful. Everything was perfect and I would definitely return. Remember to make a booking if you come on a weekend otherwise you won't get in. Great work everyone who works there for making it such a beautiful place to be and enjoy.

Wow what a beautiful bar this truly is. The venue is well lit and decorated and definite pit stop for any visiting Edinburgh. It may not be the cheapest however it makes up for quality. We had gins and cocktails and the choice was superb and when asking for a cocktail off the menu the staff were very obliging and made up our requests. You cannot ask for more. Superb table service and atmosphere, always a visit to here whenever it the city.
