Close to city centre, off street parking for a fee. Restaurant offers bistro style menu. Breakfast a bit pricey. Very close to railway line so expect train noise until around 11pm. Request a room on the far side of the building away from trainline. Friendly and helpful staff at check in and checkout.

My wife and I enjoyed a very agreeable nights stay at The Churchill (29/09/19). We stayed in Room 106 "10 Downing Suite". On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome from staff members. The decor within the building has been completed to a very high standard and looks amazing. We ate in the restaurant, the menu was varied and the food excellent. A huge range of drinks available. The bed we had in our room was very comfortable indeed and little or no noise was heard to disturb us during our stay. A great atmosphere, in and around the hotel. Within a very short walk of York centre. Handy, secure and very reasonable on site car park was welcomed and used. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking again for out next York visit. 10/10. Excellent!

My partner booked this hotel as a birthday treat for myself and he did an amazing job. The room was lovely, we had the 4 poster room with a bath near the bed (which I loved) and the bed was very comfy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only downfall for the hotel is the parking having a big car made it hard to get through the entrance and the spaces were small.

Absolutely friendly staff, always helpful. Super service and the food is on point. Has a great choice of beers and ales , and a good cocktail menu. You can order though your phone for food service to your table or bubble/igloo. Has a good music in the bar. And is clean 👌

Stayed here on many occasion. Rooms are nice, clean and modern. The only issue we found as a couple, the room next door was a family room with small children and it was a little noisy. The bar area is pleasant and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely as usual, nice fresh produce.

Fantastic looking hotel and really lovely throughout, our room was clean and made to a very high standard, bathroom was to die for and the partner loved the huge copper bath! Mattres was super comfy and a great night sleep was had. My only criticism and why I can't give it 5* is the breakfast, the bacon was clearly from a hot hold which had been there in a bit too long, it all tasted great but the bacon did remind me of a piece of leather. Wasn't work making a fuss about as hopefully a one off!
